Foreigners

If you have traveled internationally, to places where the primary language is not your primary language, you may have experienced the feeling of being a foreigner, in a place that was not your home.

This is how Jesus describes his followers, us, when he prays in John 17:16 “They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.”

The closer we get to Jesus, the more we feel like strangers in our world, but the closer we feel to other believers and to our true homeland with Jesus.

Dear Lord, it is a joy to know we are citizens of your world. In Jesus name. Amen.

  1. Amen! This is not our home and thank God. As this world becomes more and more reckless and godless we long more and more to be with the Father.
Many times I have been in the presence of the Lord. The joy is hard to describe but is was and is like maybe heaven on earth. It was sheer bliss all around you. It’s awesome!
Well there’s no real way in our language to describe it because it’s undesirable. That’s why it’s Heaven.
Imagine what it will be like when we stand before our Lord face to face. WOW!
    Come Lord quickly. Amen!
