God’s Plans

Think about this for a minute.

Every experience we have in life may be there on purpose, so that we can become the people God wants us to be, for his plan.

If we believed this, would it change how we view our experiences? Would we look at our problems the same way if we knew they were put there by God for our development?

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 119:91, “Your regulations remain true to this day, for everything serves your plans.”

Proverbs 16:9, “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.”

And the, well known, verse Romans 8:28, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

Dear Lord, Thank you for guiding our steps. Though we may have experiences in life that are unpleasant for us, help us look at them as lessons from you to develop ourselves to be better servants for you. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

  1. Perfectly placed devotion this morning… a constant reminder that we are not alone in this insanity that engulfs the world. HE is always in control, even as we spin out of control at times.

  2. Thanks for sending me these daily thoughts…I teach an adult bible class and use these often. Ref: Romans 8:28 would you comment on our omission of the article “the” that no one ever mentions…”who are THE called” I have watched this for years and it is mostly omitted…but..I think it has great significance
