How very important it is for us to forgive others.
Jesus says in Matt 6:14-15, “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” and in Mark 11:25 Jesus says,” And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your sins.”
When we pray, we need to take a moment and think about whether we are withholding our forgiveness from someone. If so, we need to release our animosity toward them and put it in God’s hands. This may be very difficult, but it is very important for us, so that we may receive God’s forgiveness, for which we ask.
Dear Lord, we may have been hurt or treated unjustly. There may be evil people in the world that seem unforgivable. Help us, however, follow your example of giving them what may be undeserved forgiveness, just as you gave us undeserved redemption and salvation. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

My father was a reprobate. I cannot remember one good memory about him. When he died I felt that my brothers and I would finally have some peace from the hell he put all of us through, but for me I was wrong. I carried the hate for 23 years until at a Promise Keepers rally in Atlanta, Ga. I finally forgave my Dad. For 22 years after his death I was a very bitter man over someone who was dead. Who did it hurt? Me! But no more. I am free from that praise God cause God took the hate from me and replaced it with love. Hating people, especially those who are dead, only hurts us. Try to forgive those who have wronged you. Don’t let the hate steal another moment of your life. You might say, “I can’t do it.” Your right! You can’t!
The Bible says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phillipians 4:13 Amen!
I knew this verse and I reasoned that my bitterness was justified but I was wrong about that. I have learned that I was in a prison of my own making and forgiveness was the key to set me free. Forgiving others makes us Christians look more like the One who forgives all sin and I am very thankful for that.
I bet you are too. Amen!
Lord Jesus you are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I love You Lord. Amen!
Praise the Lord!
