God Has Solutions

How often do you face difficult situations where you cannot imagine a solution that will make things work out favorably for you? For example, you have a large bill due and no idea how to pay it, a big school project due and not enough time to get it done, or a big project at work at the same time as an important family activity.

Why don’t we ask for God to solve it for us? Often we think we have to know how the problem can be solved so we can explain to God how to solve it. Actually we don’t. In Matthew 17:27 Jesus and Peter were in a situation where they were required to pay a tax. Jesus said to Peter, “….go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.”

Do you think Peter had any idea that Jesus would resolve the problem this way?

God can always find a way, even when we don’t see a way. We need to remember to just ask.

Dear Lord, help us remember to go to You when we are in need, and trust You to show us a solution. In your name we pray. Amen.

  1. I look forward to the daily devotion it’s my way of knowing that god use his messengers to inspire and up lift others. Thank you.

  2. Thank you for this reminder. I have a family issue. I overreacted with my daughter in law. I said what I felt. She has been rude, hurtful, disrespectful, etc. to me for years. I had no idea I was going to do this. She started sobbing loud, her face in her hands, her face was red as a beet, she was rocking back & forth.

She did this in front of her four young daughters. She once again became the Victim.

My husband & I haven’t seen them since 2015. I know this breaks his heart. His son doesn’t know what she has done all these years. She does these terrible things when he isn’t present. He has asked his Dad to come see them. He will not go without me. I’m not invited.

She causes trouble in our family. She treats our other daughter-in-law the way she treats me. She stays away from her.

I could go on, you get the idea. I pray for God to solve this issue. I am totally at a loss. She tells terrible things about me to others. She has made me sound like a monster. She is totally happy. I see pictures of her on Facebook. She lies. I don’t think she knows what truth is. I tried for years to be friends with her. Nothing worked.

Please pray that God will wash all of this darkness away & we will be a family again.
