I do not speak much French, (almost none) however, I ran across this expression and think it is a wonderful concept and description. Joie de Vivre (pronounced; zhwä-də-ˈvēvr) is defined as “a delight in being alive”
I think Psalm 36:7-9 conveys a similar idea, and attributes the cause of this joy for living to a relationship with God.
It says “How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings. You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights. For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see.”
God is the source of of our Joie de Vivre. When we put our faith and trust in him, we can have a lighter heart and the Peace and Joy God offers.
Dear Lord, thank you for the Peace and Joy you give when we release our burdens to you and live in your “fountain of life.” In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Taste and see that the Lord is good.
I have come to realize that this is an understatement. I have been married to a good woman for quite a while. I have two children and three grandchildren along w/ two great brothers and great friends. I feel I am blessed, but I have never experienced greater joy that in the presence of the Lord. I find it hard to describe. In fact I don’t think I can. My words fail in comparing the Glory and Majesty of the Lords presence. It’s the greatest love and joy I’ve ever known or felt. Can anyone imagine how it will be when we stand before Him face to face? WOW! All the trappings of this world will be behind us and the uttermost of overflowing joy will be encamped about us.
We are but here for a short time. A vapor! A breath compared to eternity. My prayer is that the breath of God would blow on someone today who really needs a fresh touch. Who couldn’t use that. Yes Lord! I’ll take some of that. Let it so Lord. In Jesus name. Amen!
