I have noticed recently how important being humble is to a number of skills. I recently read a book on negotiating, and the author stressed the importance of approaching a negotiation humbly, allowing the other side to feel comfortable and confident. The irony is that it requires confidence and courage to approach a situation this way, with humility.
Also, humble confidence is often the most effective leadership style; Avoiding the resistance that results from self-promotion, and empowering followers to their best.
Jesus also tells us in Matthew 18:4, “So anyone who becomes humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.”
Like children who humbly accept that they do not have all the answers, and will submit and learn, we should approach God with humble repentance and confident faith.
Dear Lord, how can we not feel humbled when we think of your power. Help us have child-like humility toward you and your will. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

When my children were little they would often come to me with a question or to talk to me about my day and there’s. I would take them up in my arms, spin them around, kiss and love on them. If one saw me doing it to the other they would jump in there and want some loving too. And they would get it.
Do you ever want to run and jump in the Lords lap and get some loving. I sure do and I believe He wants it too. If we as adults could just really act like children to our “Abba” Father. If we would just “humble” ourselves like our kids do to us.
I have learned more about humility from watching children and I believe that’s why God put it in the Bible. If we have to crawl or go prostrate before the Lord. Whatever it takes! We approach the Lord in humility and then we walk in this life with the same Christlike humility. Amen!
Moses was probably the most humble man to ever live, but he spent a lot of time with the Lord. It even showed on his face. It will show in us and thru us to. Amen!
there is a reason God hates Pride, it is because it is not of His image. pride is the root of all evil, and it is the proud, arrogant, stubborn, independent nature of an enemy of God that we have inherited in the fall of Man. thank God for Jesus Christ had he who never warred against God, allowed himself to be judged as if he did so that we can not only receive forgiveness of all of our arrogant and proud ways but we can also be transformed back to the image of God where no Pride is manifested. there is a reason God gives grace to the humble but he keeps the proud at arm’s length. it is because while a person is caught up in the slavery and manifestations of pride he does not realize that he is actually attempting to play God over his fellow man and even over God himself, again the fallen image….only in a state of humility are we able to be taught, only in a humble State of Mind are we able to receive truth, see truth and actually fall in love with the truth.
