All the Tools We Need
Have you ever noticed that with the right tool every project seems to go smoother and get better results. Rotating your tires if you have a couple floor jacks and an air wrench makes the project take less than half the time. Having two ovens when cooking for a big party at home. A hand truck (dolly) when moving appliances around. The right paintbrush for those tough to paint moldings. For those of us in the north, a snowblower! Sometimes a task is impossible without the right tool.

Who Do You Work For?
Colossians 3:23-24 is a great passage to put our work into perspective. Paul wrote to the Christians in Colossae. “Work hard and cheerfully at all you do, just as though you were working for the Lord and not merely for your masters. remembering that it is the Lord Christ who is going to pay you, giving you your full portion of all the He owns. He is the one you are really working for.” TLB

A Living Letter
2 Corinthians 3:2 Paul describes the people of the church as “living letters”. He says to them “you yourselves are our letters, written on our hearts” known and read by everyone.” He goes on to say “you are a letter from Christ”
We need to think about that in our daily activities. We are Christ’s letter to people we encounter. Are we sending the right message?
Dear Lord, help us remember that we are your letter to the world, known and read by everyone. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
